Mamelodi Sundowns unveil new PUMA home kit featuring two CAF Champions League stars

Mamelodi Sundowns and global sportswear brand PUMA have unveiled the club’s new home kit for the 2026/27 season, marking a historic milestone with two stars above the club crest following the Brazilians’ second CAF Champions League triumph.

The new jersey, celebrates Sundowns’ latest continental success after the club won its second CAF Champions League title in May 2026. It is the first official home shirt to feature two stars, symbolising the club’s status as two-time African champions.
The design pays tribute to one of the club’s most iconic kits, first worn in 1994. It retains Sundowns’ traditional yellow shirt, blue shorts and white socks while incorporating modern touches, including subtle debossed yellow stripes, red PUMA logos and a distinctive green stripe on the collar.

PUMA’s “Shine on Masandawana” campaign features current players Grant Kenana, Thapelo Morena, Malibongwe Khoza and Kutlwano Letlhaku alongside club legends Daniel “Mambush” Mudau, Roger Feutmba and former captain Hlompho Kekana, who led Sundowns to their first CAF Champions League title in 2016.
PUMA South Africa Marketing Director Brett Bellinger said on Wednesday the new kit celebrates the players who have shaped the club’s successful history.

“It is fitting that this Shine on Masandawana kit will be the first to feature a second star marking the club’s latest CAF Champions League win. More evidence that with Masandawana, the Sky is the Limit,” he said.
Kekana described the jersey as a symbol of the club’s rich heritage and continued success.

“The new jersey, which is the first edition with two stars above the club’s crest, is a piece of history as it pays homage to the past and celebrates the success of Mamelodi Sundowns as the Champions of Africa,” he said.
Supporters will be able to purchase both the Authentic and Replica versions of the new home shirt from 31 July. The Authentic jersey will retail for R2,399, while the men’s and women’s Replica shirts will cost R1,299. The kids’ Replica version will be available for R1,199.
