MOSCOW: Twitter accounts impersonating other people from now on must include the word “parody” in the name graph of the accounts instead of the biography, US billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk said on Thursday, following the appearance of fake “verified” accounts parodying public figures after the launch of a new subscription. “Going forward, accounts engaged in parody must include ‘parody’ in their name, not just in bio. Musk closed a $44 billion (R758 593 trillion) deal to purchase Twitter on October 28 after months of negotiations and legal disputes with the company about the number of fake accounts on the social media platform, which the entrepreneur believed was much higher than the company reported.
