Orlando Pirates were crowned 2025/26 Betway
Premiership champions after defeating Orbit College 2-0 at the Mbombela Stadium
on Saturday afternoon.

The win ensured that the Buccaneers finish the
league one point ahead of runners-up Mamelodi Sundowns, to end a 14-year league
title drought.

Pirates two goals came as courtesy of Mswenko
Boys, after two of their players scored two own goals, a defeat that ensured
that the North West side is relegated to the Motsepe Foundation Championship
next season after finishing 16th in the log.

At the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban, Kaizer
Chiefs hopes of ending the league on a high note, were diminished after a 1-0
loss against Chippa United.   

Despite the loss, Amakhosi finished the league
on third position, enough to ensure that the team head into next season’s CAF Confederations
Cup

The win ensured that the Chilli Boys ended
their campaign in 13th place, to avoid the dreadful
relegation/promotion play-off spot.

AmaZulu beat Durban City 1-0 in the
KwaZulu-Natal derby played at the Chatsworth Stadium, to end the league on
fourth position.

Despite the defeat, City finished the league on
eight position to clinch the last spot for next season’s MTN 8 Cup.

Another KwaZulu-Natal-based outfit, Golden
Arrows booked a spot in the MTN 8, after playing to a 0-0 draw against TS
Galaxy at the King Zwelithini Stadium.

The draw saw Abafana Bes’thende end their
campaign in sixth position, their highest finish in the league in five seasons,
while Galaxy is rooted at 12th position.

Magesi FC went into today’s encounter against
Richards Bay at the Seshego Stadium rooted last in 16th position and
only needed a win to avoid direct relegation from the league.

Dikwena tsa Meetse fought hard to earn a 1-0
win, which lifted them to 15th position in the league, and will now
play the promotion/relegation playoffs.

The loss saw Richards Bay finish the season in
11th place on the log.

Sekhukhune United ended the season in fifth
position, after playing to a 2-2 draw against Siwelele FC at the New Peter
Mokaba Stadium.

Siwelele however failed to qualify for the top
eight, as the draw sees them ending their campaign in 10th place.

Meanwhile, at the Dr Molemela Stadium in
Bloemfontein, it was goalless between Marumo Gallants and Stellenbosch FC.

The draw secured Bahlabane ba Ntwa survival in
the league, as they finished the season in 14th place, one point above the
relegation playoff zone, while Stellies ended their season in ninth position.
