Police forensic teams from Gauteng and Mpumalanga have been meticulously searching a crime scene in Rust de Winter, Gauteng, after the grim discovery of human remains belonging to two individuals on Thursday. This shocking turn of events is closely tied to the ongoing investigation into the disappearance of journalist Aserie Ndlovu and his partner, Zodwa Mdhluli, who were last seen on 18 February in Pretoria.

Of course, there’s still a lot of work to be done to make sure that these are the real people that we are looking for. But definitely bringing all of us together, working together with different skills, and believe me, if you can mention it’s a lot of different people who came here to find that at the end of the day, we have these bodies that we picked up at the end of the day.”
