The Hoer Tegniese Skool Rustenburg learner, Lethabo Sibanda AKA Biggish LMS,  was finally laid to rest on Saturday 10 June 2023, at the Tsitsing cemetery near Rustenburg, in the North West.

Sibanda, was brutally stabbed to death on the 2nd of June 2023, at the Rustenburg bus terminal by a fellow learner.

The moving funeral service was attended by his learners, teachers from Hoer Tegniese and hundreds of mourners, who came to bid him farewell.

The Member of Mayoral Committee for Infrastructure in the Rustenburg Municipality, Thabang Rampou, called for justice and for the accused in the murder of Sibanda, to face a harsher sentence.

Rampou said he knows for sure that there are those who’re celebrating Sibanda’s death, adding that the law should take its cause, as what happened should never happen again nor divide people of Rustenburg.

Sibanda’s uncles said their nephew will always be remembered as a hero, saying he brought joy to the family, just like his name.

One of the uncles, Aaron Sibanda said his heart is broken, he has lost his pillar of strength as he was everything to him, and as an uncle he was expecting more from him.

Aaron said Sibanda, will forever be in his heart, he will treasure him and will always remember him as a hero
