The tiger that went on a rampage over the weekend killing several animals while wounding a man whose dog had been so badly mauled, it had to be put down, is still on the loose.

According to news reporters the tiger broke off from its home in Walkerville, near the Vaal area and has been involved in several violent attacks on mainly animals.

Only one person has been reported injured after an encounter with the tiger that has since been spotted in different areas.

Officials are still out looking for it and the SPCA was reportedly said it had no leads yet.

Some residents in the area appear  unperturbed by the news that there is a tiger on the prowl. It seems business as usual as people carry on with their daily activities.

Didi Molingoane a mother of three who  lives in Walkerville said she is the least worried about the roving animal because she believes it won’t venture near busy areas but will stay in the bushes.

The SPCA has said it didn’t want to create panic but if anyone spots the animal, they mustn’t go near it but rather call 10111 or their local police or CPFs.
