Lead actors in the Wicked: Part One film, Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo haven’t stopped crying since the release of the movie.

Multiple interviews of them crying when asked questions about the film have gone viral on social media platforms, with fans humorously imitating them.

They play the characters of Elphaba carried out by Cynthia and Glinda which is performed by Ariana.

Wicked covers the true events of The Wizard of Oz, telling the story of the wicked witch of the west, Elphaba during her school days when she became friends with a popular girl named Glinda.

The musical follows their friendship and various life-changing events.

It has become publicly clear that the bond Erivo and Grand created when shooting this film has gone beyond the screens.

They are inseparable during Wicked interviews, mostly seen holding hands, showering each other with compliments or wiping each other’s tears.

The emotional interviews led to various speculations with some fans believing the movie might have traumatized the pair.

During a sit down with podcast host, Em Rusciano, they apologised for their meltdowns.

“If you are just going to comment saying how annoying it is, I’ll say it first.

I’m annoyed, I’m tired.

We’ve come through a massive, massive thing and we’ve really stuck together,” said the pair simultaneously.

Wicked part one is currently out in cinemas nationwide with part two anticipated to come out in 2025.
