Following months of speculation, that he might leave the party, former EFF Member of Parliament and spokesperson Dr Mbuyiseni Ndlozi has resigned from the red berets. Ndozi’s resignation comes after speculation about his future in the EFF following his suspension and the alleged fallout between him and party leader Julius Malema. He was suspended last year ahead of the National People’s Assembly and barred from attending the conference that elected the new leadership. It was reported that his suspension was due to reports that he was among the EFF leaders waiting for the right time to defect to the newly formed uMkhonto weSizwe Party. Last month, he resigned as a member of Parliament, after failing to secure a seat in the EFF’s Central Command Team.Meanwhile, an independent political analyst Melusi Ncala, said the EFF has moved from being an organization that essentially depicts itself as a revolutionary movement to being just a mere political party.“How they handled Ndlozi and Floyd Shivhambu issue, there will be more be many others to fall. Others may be quiet about this and quietly leaving, but essentially that aura and ethos have now dissipated. We now have a shell that is known as a political party, not different from any other parties in South Africa vying for power,” said Ncala on his X account.
