Award-winning DJ and producer Mandisa Radebe, popularly known as DBN Gogo, is set to make history as the first female DJ in South Africa to perform a 24-hour DJ set.

The marathon performance will run from midnight on Saturday, 04 April 2026, to midnight on Sunday, 05 April 2026. Doors open at 22:00 on Friday, 03 April 2026.

The Khuza Gogo hitmaker says the performance is about legacy, artistic growth, and community.

“I’m beyond excited to make history with this 24-hour set, and I want everyone to be part of this journey with me. This isn’t just a DJ set — it’s a marathon of music, energy, and community,” she says.

DBN Gogo, who has several tracks surpassing one million streams on Spotify, is known for pushing creative boundaries within South Africa’s music scene. The 24-hour set is expected to test both her creative and physical endurance.

Throughout the performance, she will be joined by other prominent DJs at selected moments, creating a collaborative experience that celebrates South African music culture.

Organisers describe the event as more than an endurance challenge, calling it a landmark moment in a male-dominated industry and a powerful statement of leadership and artistic excellence.

Details regarding the venue, ticket sales, and supporting acts will be announced at a later stage.

In 2010, DJ and producer Black Coffee  made history by performing a gruelling 60-hour non-stop DJ set at Maponya Mall in Soweto, aimed at raising awareness for his foundation, which supports people with physical disabilities.
