Wednesday night’s round of 16 second-leg clashes, bringing the knockout stage to a dramatic conclusion.

Barcelona run riot at Camp Nou

Barcelona delivered one of the standout performances of the round, thrashing Newcastle United 7-2 on the night and 8-3 on aggregate.

Raphinha was instrumental and named Player of the Match, while Robert Lewandowski scored twice in a ruthless second-half display. Teenage sensation Lamine Yamal also impressed as the Spanish giants turned a tight first half into a one-sided contest after the break.

Bayern cruise past Atalanta

Bayern Munich secured a comprehensive 4-1 win over Atalanta BC to seal a 10-2 aggregate victory.

Harry Kane led the charge with a brace, reaching the milestone of 50 Champions League goals in the process. The German champions were in control throughout, underlining their status as strong contenders for the title.

Liverpool stage Anfield comeback

At Anfield, Liverpool overturned a first-leg deficit with a commanding 4-0 victory over Galatasaray.

Mohamed Salah made history by becoming the first African player to score 50 Champions League goals, capping a dominant team performance. Goals from Dominik Szoboszlai, Ryan Gravenberch and Hugo Ekitiké sealed a 4-1 aggregate win.

Atlético hold off Tottenham fightback

Atlético Madrid advanced despite a 3-2 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur in London, progressing 7-5 on aggregate.

Spurs pushed hard on the night, with Xavi Simons among the standout performers, but Atlético’s advantage from the first leg proved decisive. Julián Álvarez was again on target for the Spanish side.
