Colombian pop star Shakira has released a one-minute teaser of her official anthem for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, titled Dai Dai.

In the clip, she performs on the pitch at Rio de Janeiro’s iconic Maracanã Stadium, shortly after drawing an estimated two million fans to a free concert in Brazil. The visual shows Shakira stepping onto the field holding the ‘Trionda’, the newly revealed official match ball for the tournament.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup is scheduled to kick off in Mexico City on 11 June, before culminating in the final at MetLife Stadium in New York/New Jersey on 19 July. The expanded tournament will be jointly hosted across the United States, Mexico and Canada.

The video also features dancers dressed in the colours of participating nations and includes a musical collaboration with Afrobeats star Burna Boy, blending Latin pop with African rhythms.

The title phrase Dai Dai is widely interpreted as a nod to the Italian expression meaning “let’s go”, as reported by Deutsche Welle. Shakira, who previously defined World Cup music with Waka Waka (This Time for Africa) in 2010, appears set to deliver another global football anthem.
