Iran has suspended its commitments under a memorandum of understanding with the United States, accusing Washington of violating the agreement as military strikes continue across the region.

The announcement came after a seventh consecutive night of US attacks targeting infrastructure in Iran, including bridges, tunnels, surveillance facilities, underground weapons storage sites and maritime installations.

Iran has responded with missile and drone attacks against US-linked facilities in Jordan, Kuwait and Bahrain. Jordan said it intercepted missiles targeting its territory, while Kuwait reported damage to key power and water infrastructure.

Tensions have also intensified around the Strait of Hormuz, where Iran says it has taken action against several vessels, contributing to a sharp decline in commercial shipping activity.

The United States is reportedly deploying additional military assets to the region, while President Donald Trump considers expanding strikes against Iranian energy, nuclear and strategic facilities.

Iranian officials have warned of a wider military response if attacks continue, with lawmakers calling for retaliation against US allies’ infrastructure.

The Gulf Cooperation Council has condemned Iran’s attacks, describing them as a serious escalation and a violation of international law.

The latest developments mark a significant deterioration in US-Iran relations, raising fears of a broader regional conflict involving military, economic and diplomatic consequences.
