Arsenal have officially been crowned 2025/26 Premier League champions, sealing a remarkable season that has reignited pride across North London and restored the club to the summit of English football.
The title triumph was confirmed after Arsenal’s hard-fought 1-0 victory over Burnley, coupled with defending champions Manchester City being held to a 1-1 draw by AFC Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.
It marks Arsenal’s 14th English league title and their first Premier League crown in 22 years, ending a long wait since the legendary “Invincibles” side led by Arsène Wenger lifted the trophy during the unforgettable 2003/04 campaign.
Under the leadership of Mikel Arteta, Arsenal have produced one of the club’s finest modern-day campaigns. The Spaniard becomes the first Arsenal manager since Wenger to guide the Gunners to the top-flight title, cementing his place among the club’s greats.
Arsenal’s success has been built on consistency, resilience and defensive excellence. The Gunners have won 25 of their 37 league matches so far, while conceding the fewest goals in the division. Goalkeeper David Raya has once again played a crucial role, securing the Golden Glove award for a third consecutive season.
The London club started the season in dominant fashion, winning nine of their opening ten matches, including a statement victory away to Manchester United. Arsenal spent more than 200 days at the top of the table and responded strongly when City briefly overtook them late in the campaign.
A run of four straight victories without conceding ultimately propelled Arsenal back to first place and ensured the title returned to the Emirates Stadium.
The achievement adds another glorious chapter to Arsenal’s proud history. The club now boasts 32 major trophies and sits among the most successful teams in English football history, behind only Manchester United and Liverpool FC in league titles won.
Arsenal’s extraordinary season may yet become even more historic. The newly crowned Premier League champions are now preparing for the second UEFA Champions League final in the club’s history, where they will face reigning European champions Paris Saint-Germain in Budapest on May 30.
Victory there would see Arsenal lift the European Cup for the very first time and complete one of the greatest seasons in the club’s 140-year history.
