Following speculations that he might dump the party and follow the former Deputy President Floyed Shivhambu to uMkhonto weSizwe, Dr Mbuyiseni Ndlozi has resigned from parliament.The EFF confirmed in a media statement this morning that the former spokesperson and another member Yazini Tetyana voluntarily requested to be released from their parliament duties. “The voluntary request to be released from deployment was sent to the General Secretary of the EFF consecutively and within days of each other, expressed gratitude to the EFF for the opportunity to serve the organization and the people of South Africa “reads the statement. Tetyana served in the Eastern Cape provincial Legislature and parliament while Ndlozi has been with the Red Berets since it was formed, he served as MP since 2014. Ndlozi’s resignation was expected following the party’s decision to bar him from attending the 3rd National People’s Assembly that was held in Nasrec Johannesburg in December last year. He was reportedly placed on leave of absence which prevented him from his parliament duties. It was reported that he was one of the members who knew about Shivhambu’s departure from the organization but decided not to tell the leader of the party Julius Malema, which is what spoilt their relationship. There have been speculations that he might join the MK party.
