The River actor who is also the host of reality TV show, Big Brother Mzansi, has come to the defense of the new Biggie voice.

According to some fans, the voice lacks the Big Brother factor while others likened it to a kids edutainment show called Cocomelon.

@BlazingLEGOs commented ‘’With all the technologies in this world, you guys can’t even deepen the voice?’’

In another post, @KamogeloMoririi tagged Maleka and said ‘’I don’t like the voice of Big Brother.  I don’t think it’s even worth it to call him ‘’Big Brother’’ with that voice. Ngizwe ngathi uyingane’’.

Despite the backlash, Maleka shocked X users with his response.

‘’Think of the first time you started something. How you prayed that it worked out. How kind and patient those who were far more experienced than you were or rather how you wish they could have been,” replied the actor.

The culture of clap backs is often associated with rudeness or going lower than what the trolls are saying, especially in situations where an individual is being dragged.

However, Maleka opened a totally different conversation and indirectly challenged people to be kinder.

Although this did not entirely stop the condemnation, Maleka got some praises for how he replied to the negative criticism.

Season 4 of the show is currently underway and it’s yet to be seen whether suggestions to adjust the new voice will be implemented.
