A 23-year man will appear before the Moretele Magistrates court on Friday on charges of murder and defeating the ends of justice among others.

The man was arrested by North West police on Wednesday after the body of his 15-year-old girlfriend Karabo Monyama was discovered in a shallow grave in his backyard in Cyferskuil in Makapanstad.

According to police, Monyama went missing after leaving her home on Sunday to watch soccer at her boyfriend’s place and never returned home.

Police said a search was conducted around the neighborhood without any success.

Police are also searching for a 1-year-old boy, Keotshepile Molefe who went missing on 03 March in Dinokana village in Zeerust, North West.

It is alleged that the toddler was last seen following a family member who stays opposite his mother’s house. An inquiry of a missing person was registered with the police in Lehurutshe.
