Trump announces ‘major interview’ with Elon Musk

Former United States President and Republican nominee Donald Trump will sit down with tech billionaire Elon Musk for an interview next week, he said Tuesday.

“ON MONDAY NIGHT I’LL BE DOING A MAJOR INTERVIEW WITH ELON MUSK — Details to follow!” Trump posted on his social media platform, Truth Social.

The mogul, whose public persona has become increasingly right-wing and controversial, after officially endorsing Trump last month, on the same day Trump was shot at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania.

Following Musk’s takeover of X, formerly Twitter, he reinstated Trump’s account, which was suspended by the platform’s former owners after the Jan. 6 riots at the U.S. Capitol, in 2021.

At a campaign rally on Saturday, Trump appeared to drop his long-held opposition to electric vehicles because of Musk’s endorsement.

“I’m for electric cars, I have to be because Elon endorsed me very strongly,” he said.

Musk has denied reports that he is planning to funnel some of his vast fortune into Trump’s re-election campaign, claiming he won’t be “donating money to either candidate” for president. politico.eu
