The country’s unemployment rate has decreased by 1.4% to 32.1% in the third quarter of 2024. This is according to the Quarterly Labour Force Survey (QLFS) that was released on Tuesday by Statistician-General, Risenga Maluleke, during a media briefing in Pretoria. The results show an increase of 294 000 in the number of employed persons to 16.9 million the quarter under review. Police in Rustenburg have arrested a female suspect, in connection with a cash-in-transit (CIT) robbery that occurred on the R104 road at Kroondal in Rustenburg on Monday.
