A multiple-vehicle accident on the N1 near Makhado, next to Mountain View, in the Vhembe District, Limpopo, has claimed the lives of a five-year-old girl child and a female driver. The Border Management Authority (BMA) said operations have resumed at the Grobler’s Bridge and Stockpoort Ports of entry with Botswana following temporary suspensions due to heavy rains. Four people have died and about 50 others sustained serious injuries, after a fuel tanker allegedly crashed into a stationary bus on the N1 Northbound near Maubane, in Pretoria North, near the Carousel Toll Plaza. More than 30 zama zamas were arrested in various locations at the Bojanala Platinum District Municipality in the past three days, for illegal mining activities.
