The death toll following a shooting incident at a tavern in Pienaar, outside Nelspruit in Mpumalanga, has risen to eight. US president-elect Donald Trump has been sentenced to an unconditional discharge for all 34 criminal charges of falsifying business records to influence the 2016 election. The teams are currently conducting needs and impact assessment following heavy rainfall that affected many parts of the province and damaged infrastructure, properties and possessions. The National Consumer Commission (NCC) has launched an investigation into overbooking and overselling of tickets by FlySafair. This after several consumers raised concerns that they were left stranded at some airports due to the practice by the airline. The Stilfontein Magistrates’ Court in the North West, has sentenced a second batch of illegal miners for illicit mining and contravention of the Immigration Act. The accused include ten Lesotho, four Mozambique and five Zimbabwe undocumented foreign nationals with ages between 20 and 43.
