Kaizer Chiefs interim coach Cavin Johnson has sought to downplay Saturday night’s 2-1 victory in the DStv Premiership against Supersport United at the Peter Mokaka stadium in Polokwane, by reminding the team that they must still improve in some departments. Christian Saile and Mduduzi Shabalala scored both Chiefs goals, while Terrence Dzvukamanja converted from the spot to give Supersport their consolation goal. US federal appeals court upheld R. Kelly’s 20-year prison sentence over child pornography and other crimes, rejecting the R&B singer’s defence that the case was filed too late. Kelly was sentenced in February last year but his lawyers argued the statute of limitations had passed by the time he was charged, a defence the Chicago court rejected on Friday. “For years, Robert Sylvester Kelly abused underage girls. Suspicious consumers can now breath a sigh of relief, after the Reserve Bank launched the Corporation for Deposit Insurance (CODI). CODI scheme is created and mandated by law to protect R100,000 qualifying bank deposits in the unlikely event of their bank failing or bank collapse. Previously investors had to accept the risks and liabilities of making investments with banking institutions. South Africa has expressed is outrage following the grim discovery of a mass grave containing the remains of nearly 300 Palestinian civilians at Nasser Hospital in Gaza. The bodies were discovered by the Gaza Civil Defence workers following the withdrawal of Israeli Defence Forces from the facility. It also follows the reported discovery of mass graves at Al-Shifa Hospital.
